Breaking down my outfit; basking in the glory
We wowed everyone with the cost of our outfit.
We are free and we follow no rules;
What we follow are trends, and they are not rules!
Trends laid down by our gated community and
Vindicated by community members.
Society’s rules? Pah! We loathe them.
Our community’s trends make us who we are!
Rave parties, marijuana and MDMA,
We all go with the trend; if not
We risk being branded as uncivilized;
Same with parties, DJ with music and dance;
Even if we don’t have cash, oops, we call it liquid;
We all should have credit card to follow the trend!
We are free and we follow no rules;
What we follow are trends, and they are not rules!
Fathers and mothers danced on and off the stage; but
We dance on roads and signals and public pathways,
Just to add more social currency to our banks!
Let’s welcome poor George who breathed his last in 1990s;
As he comes to 2020s in a time machine!
“On the contrary, people who had performed on the roads
And pavements in the 1990s earned real currency!”
What we follow are trends, and they are not rules!
What I seek in this world is not love;
But just an understanding soul;
to accept my sadism, masochism, narcissism,
and all the ism’s I am born with that grows bigger each day.
A soul that vindicates me, myself, and I
Morals and ethics? Pah! We loathe them as mere social constructs.
We as a community transcend them because
We are free and we follow no rules!
We followed rules when we were younger;
Now that we have grown, we only follow trends!
We were happy when we were younger?
Pah! That’s only rosy retrospection!
Levi’s costs 4000 and t-shirt costs 3000;
Casio costs 10000 and Asics costs 15000.
I am proud of what I do as I and free and I follow no rules.
What we follow are trends, and they are not rules!
Good one
